Wizard News - New School Selling Awarded $264K 5-week Training Contract with Dell

by Wizard Partner & CEO of New School Selling, Steve Clark

Wes Schaeffer, Murrieta resident, member of Murrieta and Temecula Chambers of Commerce, Air Force veteran, soon-to-be father of six, was awarded a five-week contract to provide five instructors to augment the delivery of sales training to 3,000 Dell sales managers. This would include both inside and outside sales reps. Training will occur at their headquarters near Austin, Texas, as well as Nashville, Tennessee.

The emphasis on sales training is in line with the new sense of urgency that is present after Dell’s dramatic reduction in sales growth over the last two years, while rivals HP and IBM flourished. The total value of the contract exceeds $250,000 and could be expanded to include supporting their Central America, Canadian, European, and Asian territories.

Wes Schaeffer is “The Sales Whisperer” with New School Selling, a training company whose philosophy is to shun quick-fixes in order to focus on developing sales professionals to become experts on people and their motivations.

Says Schaeffer, “We are honored to be chosen by the #1 PC manufacturer in the world to assist with the development and implementation of their new sales methodology. This contract helps validate the impact New School Selling’s philosophy of focusing on people and their motivations can have on an organization’s sales force. We are committed to continuous improvement in the sales consulting arena, which is why we remain a ‘product of our product.”

In other words, we’re not a bunch of pointy-headed carpetbaggers repeating material you can order on late-night infomercials. This ensures our clients—from Fortune 100 to the local masonry supply company—receive timely and pertinent philosophies, strategies, and perspectives that will enable them to grow revenues, shorten sales cycles, improve margins, and eliminate discounting in competitive situations.”
