What is Courage in Business?

But first what is courage?

"Courage is doing what you're afraid to do. There can be no courage unless you're scared."
~ WWI combat pilot Eddie Rickenbacker

Courage in business could mean doing any of the following:

  • Making a cold call
  • Starting a new business
  • Booking a 12-month advertising campaign
  • Saying 'NO' to a customer
  • Saying 'NO' to an advertising rep
  • Going against conventional business wisdom
  • Hiring a consultant
  • Making a presentation
  • Asking for help
  • Borrowing money
  • Running with ads that well... don't sound like normal ads
  • Voicing your own ads
  • Attending a workshop
  • Moving location
  • Investing in new technology

Being the owner of a business means facing up to fears everyday.
Can you think of any more?

Let me know.
